School of Art and Design invites prospective students and community
Prospective 鶹츮 art students and the community can observe a range of art classes from drawing to painting to printmaking to electronic illustration, when the School of Art and Design holds its Open Studio Event on Feb. 21 from 5 – 8 p.m. One set of studio courses begins at 5 p.m. while another set begins at 6:30 p.m., and visitors may stay for both sessions.
“We’re opening our doors to our studios and classrooms, so prospective students can meet with our students and professors, listen to class discussion and learn about the resources our School of Art and Design provides,” said Geo Sipp, director of KSU’s . “We are the only public institution in the state offering a degree in digital animation.”
WHAT:
鶹츮’s semi-annual for prospective art students and the community features a variety of classes. 鶹츮ors will be able to walk a self-guided tour of the Visual Arts Building, listen to studio and class discussions and meet current art students and faculty. A special photography collaboration will take place with dance students in the photo studio on the second floor. Future students are encouraged to bring their portfolios for a faculty panel review.
WHEN:
Thursday, Feb. 21, with the first session beginning at 5 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. 鶹츮ors may attend both sessions.
